Hey, I am Vinita (She/Her).
We all have our moments when we feel that we are in a rut, or feelings of anxiety and depression overwhelm us. Trauma, lack of self-confidence and trouble in relationships can also lead to stressors affecting our day to day life. As a South Asian immigrant, I not only understand these issues, but I am also able to comprehend the cultural complexities that surround them. Therapy may be an unfamiliar or overwhelming tool to use, keeping this in mind, I offer a judgement free and empathetic environment to feel safe in.
I use an eclectic approach depending on your needs, goals, and concerns. I use tools from different modalities such as CBT, SFT, MBCT, Strength-based, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy along with my own life experiences.
I work towards setting goals collaboratively with you in a safe and culturally competent environment.
