About Shazia

Our lives are not immune from the ups and downs that come with it. At some point you may have experienced anxiety, trouble in understanding your identity, relationships, self-esteem and more. We have the ability to withstand it, but there are times where we find it difficult to navigate through. I understand where you are coming from, and as a therapist, I hope to create an environment that promotes growth and work towards a positive outcome.

Many therapeutic approaches are conducted through a western lens, in my work, I use my lived experience as a POC, and immigrant to bring a balance to those approaches. I understand the importance of working with a therapist that is familiar with cultural nuances, and I hope to work alongside with my clients to understand theirs and work through the issues.

My work with you can help you navigate the difficult nuances of life with the right tools. Our therapeutic space will be open to reflection, empathy, and no judgement. Using an outlook embodied by my experiences and multiple modalities, I hope to support and work together to empower you to bring the change you hope for.
